SCHOOL CLOSURES

In extreme circumstances of snow, floods, power cuts or other unforseen cases, it may prove necessary to close the School. If this does occur, the School will send a message to Parents via ParentMail and the information will be posted on ClassDojo.

 


The Health & Safety of all members of our school community has to be our first priority.

What time does school start/end?
School begins at 8.40 and finishes at 3.10 Monday-Friday.

How do I order school meals/milk?
School meals need to be ordered via the ParentPay app and all orders should be made at least a week in advance. Milk can be ordered at the beginning of each half term through ParentMail.
*Please note, milk and lunches must be ordered even if your child is entitled to free school meals.

What is 'well-being day'?
Each year group has a well-being day once per week. On this day the children come to school in their PE kit and take part in PE, PSHE, music and Forest School (key stage 1).

How is information communicated to parents/carers?
We use different means of communication, such as; Class Dojo, ParentMail, face-to-face meeting opportunities.

How do I sign my child up for after school enrichment clubs?
Club sign up information is sent out via ParentMail each half term.

How do I find out about upcoming events/term dates?
You can find information about upcoming events/term dates on the Class Dojo app or by visiting the school calendar on our website. This information is also available on our weekly newsletter.

Is wrap-around care available?
Long John's @ St John's is available each day and is run by school staff. Breakfast club opens at 7.30am and after school care runs until 5.30pm. Places are limited and must be booked in advance via the ParentPay app.

What do I do if I need to speak to someone?
Your first port of call would be your child's class teacher and they can be contacted via Class Dojo. If you wish to speak to a member of the school's senior leadership team, please contact them via the office email (office@stjohns.worcs.sch.uk) or by calling the school on 01562 745558.
