Our Results
Performance and Standards
Children coming to St. John's make excellent progress from their Reception baselines, which show that the vast majority of pupils who begin their academic journey here are working below the expected level on entry. Our SATs results for 2024 show that around 2/3 of the cohort achieved the expected level for reading, writing and maths at the end of year 6, showing above average progress.
The school is clearly focused on delivering a strong well-balanced curriculum covering a range of subjects for all its pupils to access. External monitoring has continued and all inspections have been extremely positive. Regular visits by a well-respected National Leader in Education (NLE) have given glowing feedback to the school in all areas, with a more recent focus on the foundation subjects of the National Curriculum. “The school’s work on reviewing and improving its curriculum is continuing to develop strongly due to a sharp focus on intent, implementation and impact. In particular, monitoring has been strengthened further and there is good evidence of how this is impacting positively on improving curriculum areas” (NLE 2020). We want all our pupils to enjoy their time at school, have the benefit of a well-balanced curriculum, and leave having achieved their own personal potential.
We are proud of our achievements in improving the educational experiences and academic outcomes of the children who attend our school.
